Not the worst day for spotting today by any manner of means.
The weather was lovely in the morning, clouded over in the afternoon but the rain held off.
To add to all that the aircraft weren't too shabby either.
The Berlin A330 that I enthused about yesterday was D-ALPJ which unfortunately I had seen in Palma last year but never mind it was something very different for the drome. To add to my woes the Lufty E190 was D-AECA which had been in and out BHX like a dog at a fairground and the morning KLM was an oldish one PH-BGI so i didn't bother with it.
On the plus side the Helvetic F100 which operates the Swissair Zurich was HB-JVH which was a new registration to me despite having seen the frame twice before in different guises,F-GNLK of Regional and
SE-DUC of Transwede.
Added to that a C650 of Solid Air PH-MFX plus Bell Jet Ranger G-BXRY and I had 3 for the morning.
I had some gardening duties to attend to for the rest of the morning, a bit of grass cutting and strimming so I headed home to take care of those tasks.
After a shower and some lunch (chili again in jalapeno flavour wraps) it was back to the drome to see what appeared in the Sunday afternoon rush.I'd had a heads up that the KLM was the newly delivered PH-EZS so I was guaranteed 1.
The Paderborn Air Berlin was D-ABKM which I had made on holiday in Lanzarote in August ,the Britair CRJ was F-GRJM and sure enough the previously mentioned KLM E190 pitched up.
There were a couple of GA on the Elmdon apron that concealed their identities from me,a Partenavia P68 and a Cessna 310.Fotunately Rob Philips had read them off from the other side of the airport and their cover was blown G-BFBU being the P68 and G-EGLT the C310,both of which were new to me.
So a grand total of 6 today ,that wasn't bad at all !
Work tomorrow I'm afraid and my boss is back from 2 weeks golf on the Algarve.Maybe he will bring some sweets back for the office? I rather have 2 weeks of logs from Faro !
Will hopefully do some spotting again before next weekend :-)
